The Maintenance Guide

A piece of jewelry lives with you.
Its longevity depends on how you take care of it.

304 & 316 Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is

  • Water resistant

  • Stable over time

  • Hypoallergenic

  • Non-corrosive

  • Oxidation resistant

It will not rust or tarnish under normal conditions of use. However, dust, sweat, salt, chlorine, perfume, and cosmetics can dull its shine over time.

18K gold plated (PVD)

The PVD process offers better durability than traditional plating. However, a layer remains applied to the metal. Salt, chlorine, and chemicals can gradually attack this layer if they are not removed.

Water, sea and swimming pool

Shower: allowed / Swimming pool and sea: allowed.

But it is imperative after each swim to:

  1. Rinse thoroughly with clean water

  2. Dry immediately with a soft cloth

Allowing it to dry naturally without rinsing accelerates the wear of the gold plating.

Cleaning – Recommended Methods

Regular maintenance
  • Wipe with a dry microfiber cloth

  • Remove any traces of water after contact

Gentle cleaning (occasional)

If the jewelry has lost its shine:

Option 1: Mild soap
  • Warm water + mild soap (such as Marseille soap or mild dishwashing liquid)

  • Dry immediately

Option 2: Baking soda (steel only)

Resin jewelry - SOLA necklaces

The pendant is suspended from a thin chain: avoid excessive shocks and pulling.

Fine chains & connecting rings

Some chains are intentionally thin.

They do not stretch, but can detach under significant tension.

The rings are not intentionally welded.

In case of excessive tension:
The chain detaches instead of breaking.

It is possible to replace the chain in the ring using two fine pliers, provided that the ring is not deformed.

Excessive shock or traction does not constitute a manufacturing defect.

Storage

Keep each piece of jewelry in its individual pouch.

  • Protected from moisture

  • Avoid direct contact between jewelry

Steel-on-steel friction can cause micro-scratches and damage the plating.

Natural wear and tear

Micro-scratches, gradual deterioration of a plating or marks related to daily wear do not constitute a defect.
Any damage resulting from poor maintenance, impact or excessive traction will not be eligible for reimbursement or warranty coverage.

In summary

Rinse after sea or swimming pool.
Dry thoroughly.
Clean gently.
Store separately.
